Shipping & Freight Policy

Shiflet & Dickson LLC – “Shipping Policy & Freight Program” – This policy outlines the eligibility requirements, exclusions, and terms governing our policy.

Eligibility

We are pleased to offer convenient prepaid shipping options to most of our customers under the following criteria:

Account Holders (Net 30): Customers with an active Shiflet & Dickson LLC credit account are automatically enrolled, provided the account remains in good standing. Good standing is defined as:

Being completely current (no past-due balances).

Operating within the established credit limit.

Remaining in full compliance with all signed Credit Agreements.

Cash and Credit Card Customers: Customers without a credit account who pay via cash or with credit card are also fully eligible to utilize our prepaid freight options at the time of purchase.

Program Exclusions

The Prepaid Freight Program applies exclusively to standard ground shipping services via UPS or our designated freight carriers.

The following order types and fees are strictly excluded from the program:

Special & Drop-Ship Orders: These orders do not qualify for prepaid shipping and will be subject to standard freight charges billed by the shipping vendor.

Residential & C.O.D. Fees: Shiflet & Dickson LLC does not cover residential delivery surcharges (which most freight policies apply to non-commercial addresses) or Cash on Delivery (C.O.D.) fees.

Carrier Selection and Surcharges: Shiflet & Dickson LLC retains the exclusive right to select the shipping carrier and delivery method for all prepaid shipments.

If you request a specific carrier, alternative delivery method, or expedited service, a surcharge will apply. You will be held responsible for all additional costs associated with special requests, including but not limited to:

Expedited or overnight shipping

Specific carrier preferences

Driver assistance or liftgate services

Weekend deliveries

C.O.D. services

Delays, Refusals, and Late Payments

Additional costs incurred due to delivery issues or payment delays will be billed directly to your account. This includes:

Delays: Fees resulting from customer-caused delivery delays.

Refusals: Refusal of a shipment or requests for redelivery.

Late Payments: If a Prepaid Net account order is not paid by its designated due date, the full original shipping charges will be retroactively assessed and added to your account balance.

Program Modifications and Liability

Shiflet & Dickson LLC reserves the right to exclude any specific product or item from the Prepaid Freight Program, with prior notice provided to the customer.

Liability Disclaimer

Shiflet & Dickson LLC assumes no liability for delivery delays, delivery failures, lost shipments, or transit damage.

Receiving Responsibilities

It is the customer’s responsibility to thoroughly inspect all packages upon arrival. To initiate a claim for damages or shipment discrepancies, please contact our Customer Service department immediately.

Updated Receiving Shipping & Delivery Policy

Inspection Upon Delivery

It is the customer’s sole responsibility to thoroughly inspect every package and its contents for any visible signs of damage, dents, tears, or missing items in the presence of the delivery driver before signing for the shipment.

Reporting Damage

Inspect Before Signing: Please do not rush the driver. Open and check your items immediately if there is any external indication of rough handling.

Document with the Driver: If you discover any damage, you must note the specific damage clearly on the driver’s delivery receipt/bill of lading before they leave, and have the driver sign or initial it.

Report Immediately: File a damage claim with the carrier and notify our customer service team right away.

Important Disclaimer (Concealed or Unreported Damage)

If the delivery driver departs and the package is later found to be damaged without having been noted on the delivery receipt, the damage may not be covered by insurance or eligible for replacement or credit.

Carriers frequently deny claims for transit damage if it is not documented at the exact time of delivery, as liability transfers once the delivery is completed without exception. Failure to follow these inspection guidelines may result in the customer absorbing the cost of any damaged goods.

Policy Changes

Shiflet & Dickson LLC reserves the right to cancel or modify this  Shipping Policy and Prepaid Freight Program at any time at our sole discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify customers of any program changes in a timely manner.
